Engenio in Ireland

Engenio has had a presence in Cork, Ireland since 2000. The initial presence resulted from the selection of Flextronics, Cork to provide Contract Manufacturing services to Engenio. This facility manages product supply to Engenio customers throughout Europe and Asia.

In 2005 Engenio expanded their existing presence in Ireland by opening a global operations and supply chain centre in Little Island, Cork. This facility supports the alignment of Engenio's supply chain to meet its customer needs worldwide through management of supplier and manufacturing relationships and customer order scheduling and fulfilment.

Transferring the global operations function to Cork, was a logical decision for Engenio due to the efficiencies to be obtained in Ireland and improvements in the management of local manufacturing resources and suppliers. Engenio is able to leverage upon the supply chain management expertise of the workforce in Cork, as well as benefit from great access and excellent communications with Europe, Americas and Asia.

The centre in Little Island, covers functions including purchasing, order fulfilment and supply chain management, as well as administrative functions to support Engenio's worldwide operations.

Engenio in Cork is situated in Little Island which is approximately 6 miles from Cork airport.
