The 2822 controller provides 2 Gb/s Fibre Channel (FC) connectivity and native support for serial ATA (SATA) disk drives – enabling it to power robust, yet cost-effective, storage solutions ideally suited for entry-level and secondary storage requirements.
Dual-active 2822 controllers are integrated into a SATA drive enclosure, creating a fully featured 14-drive storage system in a 3U module. Up to seven additional SATA or FC drive enclosures are supported for a maximum storage capacity of 112 disk drives.
