The SANtricity® Application Programming Interface (API)
is a comprehensive library containing all the functionality
needed for configuring, managing, and monitoring Engenio storage systems. The API
enables Engenio partners to create independent value-add capabilities as well as
integrate Engenio storage systems with higher-level management frameworks for
enterprise, storage, or SAN management. The API can be used for:
- Discovering and managing Engenio storage systems topology
- Automatically configuring Engenio storage systems
- Integrating Engenio storage systems with third-party host software such as volume managers, clustering packages, or failover drivers
- Extending existing storage management software to include Engenio storage
- Including Engenio storage systems in third-party management tools or frameworks
- Automatic provisioning of storage
The SANtricity API is delivered through extensive documentation, libraries, and example code. Support and training is available.
