The controller module is the "brain" of the storage system – housing the redundant controllers and their intelligent RAID firmware in a
4U module. It provides 2 Gb/s Fibre Channel host or SAN connectivity and support for Fibre Channel or serial ATA drives.
Each controller module has two Ethernet ports, one per controller, for remote management from anywhere on the network. Additionally,
each controller has an RS-232 interface connector for troubleshooting and running diagnostics. All primary components of the controller module
are hot-swappable, customer-replaceable units, or CRUs. Each CRU can be accessed either from the front or back of the controller module and
easily removed and/or replaced.
